21 Work at Home Jobs For Good Multitaskers

Work From Home Income

Today, we are talking about work at home jobs for good multitaskers!

Multitasking is not something everyone can do — and that’s OK! Some of us work more efficiently when we focus on one thing at a time, while others can mentally and physically do multiple things at one time without a change in job performance or speed.

I realize that just because you can multitask well doesn’t mean you actually enjoy it! I’m a good multitasker, but it does stress me out to have more than one thing going on at a time that I have to focus on. I’d rather not multitask!

So, I’ve always gotten some enjoyment out of work at home jobs that are more repetitive. Maybe that will be a topic for a future blog post!

If you believe you’re a good multitasker and you like multitasking, there are quite a few work at home options you could consider that do require multitasking.

Good luck if you apply for anything listed below!

21 Work at Home Jobs For Good Multitaskers

Virtual Assistant/Administrative Assistant

When I think about multitasking and working from home, virtual/admin assistant jobs are the first to come to my mind.

Virtual assistants and administrative assistants almost always have a variety of different tasks and projects going on at one time.

As a virtual assistant, you might be taking/making calls, writing blog posts, maintaining spreadsheets, scheduling appointments, managing social media accounts, planning travel, or any number of other things your client might need you to do.

If you want to work at home as a virtual assistant or administrative assistant, the following companies are often hiring:

My e-book, Your Quick Guide to Working at Home as a Virtual Assistant, has 50 companies listed that hire virtual assistants to work from home!

If virtual assisting as a work at home career is of interest to you, there is a ton of information in this e-book to help you get started.

Customer Service Representative

You might think that work at home customer service reps don’t do much other than take or make calls, but the work is a little more involved and does often require that you do more than one thing at a time.

In addition to verbally communicating with people via phone, you’ll be doing computer work that varies depending on your job. You might be processing orders, inputting data, troubleshooting problems (which might require research as you talk), and more.

So while there may be some exceptions, customer service work from home involves way more than just speaking on the phone!

The following companies have work at home customer service jobs open on a regular basis:

Transcription

Transcription work at home is another that seems pretty straightforward on the surface — listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. But being able to listen, understand, and type all at one time is best suited for people who can multitask well.

In addition to listening, understanding what you’re hearing, and typing, you may also need to stop periodically in order to research — something you may be surprised that transcriptionists need to do!

Online research may be necessary for you as a transcriber to help understand the context of what you’re hearing — especially if it’s an industry you aren’t familiar with — and type everything out accurately.

On the flip side, transcription can also feel repetitive at times because you will likely have to back up and listen to parts of an audio file more than once in order to understand what is being said and get it all typed out.

If you think you’d like to work at home as a transcriptionist, the following companies regularly have openings:

Nursing

You may be surprised to learn that nurses can do their work from home! As telehealth grows in popularity, I see more and more remote opportunities on various job boards for nurses.

And — as you can probably imagine — nursing requires multitasking whether you are doing it in a doctor’s office, hospital, or at home.

Work at home nurses must communicate with patients via video, chat, and/or phone in order to virtually diagnose and prescribe treatment for symptoms. It’s necessary to ask and answer questions while also documenting the patient details for medical records.

If you’re interested in working at home as a nurse and you have the required licensing and education to do so, check out the following companies for openings:

Event Planning

Event planners can do most or all of their work from home, and the work does involve extensive multitasking.

There are so many different moving parts and details that go into planning events — especially large ones — so what you are doing is likely to change constantly. Someone who is good at multitasking can really excel in event planning!

Many event planners work independently, running their own businesses. But there are a few companies that hire them if you’d prefer to work under someone else.

You can read our article about working at home as an event planner to learn more, or do a search for “event planner” in your area on Indeed to see what companies are looking for virtual event planners now.

I hope these ideas have helped you if you are a master multitasker, enjoy multitasking, and need to work from home.

Looking For Even More Legit Remote Jobs?

FlexJobs is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely.

Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies.

The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free. They list hundreds of jobs — all of which are either remote or flexible in nature — five days per week.

There are also no ads on the site!

Because there are no ads, they do charge a membership fee since that is the only way they can see a return on their job-searching efforts.

But it’s cheap — you can get access for a few weeks for just $2.95 for 14 full days!

If you sign up and don’t like it, it’s very easy to cancel right away so you are not billed again. You can do it any point during your 14 days of checking things out.

Good luck to you!
